Dawn L. Gagne
Dawn joined Elliott Law Offices, P.A. in September, 2016. Dawn’s practice focuses on the defense of property claims, including construction and design defect claims alleging water infiltration and resulting damage, claims for deficient HVAC design and construction, and involving structural design, subsidence and related damage. She has handled several complex cases and has defended architect and engineer professional liability claims. She is particularly knowledgeable about design and construction claims involving earthwork, soil engineering, foundations and underground utilities. Dawn has also handled many first party property damage claims, including property damage appraisals, and has successfully defended real property actions involving trespass, tree removal (treble damage claims), ditch and wetland encroachment.
Dawn combines first-hand industry knowledge and legal experience to aptly counsel her clients through litigated matters, arbitration and mediation. Before joining Elliott Law Offices, she served as general counsel for a regional contractor for 11 years where her practice focused on matters involving contracts, environmental issues, general corporate, acquisitions and divestitures, real estate, financing, bonding, workers’ compensation, public project bidding, labor and Little Davis-Bacon issues, insurance coverage. Being a seasoned member of the construction industry, she understands the unique nuances that accompany construction disputes. Dawn also practiced at Cousineau McGuire Law Firm for many years before joining Elliott Law Offices.
